I am a reader who writes– poetry, fiction, and literary essays. I am writer who runs—marathons. I am a marathoner who writes about running.
As a fourth generation San Francisco native who has been living and writing in a Chicago suburb since 1996, I feel very lucky to be a part of the literary community of Chicago.
My poetry has been published in The College of DuPage’s award winning literary journal, “The Prairie Light Review.” I have submitted many short stories to literary journals, and have almost completed my first novel. My writing blog is a forum to express my opinions on art, literature, and the literary process. You can find my writing blog at terilavelle.com.
For the past three years I was the weekly blogger for The Glen Ellyn Runners’ column, “Today’s Run,” which had a following of up to 350 people. With great joy, I now share my experience and research about running, marathoning, and high profile runners in my own blog at RunWriter.com.
